Work on It!!!

When you try to erase a line in your five-day permit card and write a new date over it, you are trying to cheat the system.

A conversation between a student and the parking manager:

"I don't understand why I got this ticket."

"Well, you changed the date line on the permit card. That's why you got the ticket."

(Let's shorten it up a little...)

"Are you saying that I tried to do something illegal?"

"Well, in our eyes, erasing and rewriting a different date on the permit card is illegal. In fact, the officers noticed that you hadn't just changed that one line. You also changed the two lines above that."

"That has nothing to do with this ticket! This ticket is for this line only!"

Uh, actually, it does. Because the two lines above it kind of reinforce the fact that you were changing the dates.

Finally, that person ended in a long tirade which basically said the office sucked.

"I'm sorry you feel that way."

"Work on it!"
